IV Street Club Annual Meeting and Rabbie Burns Dinner

Don your kilt or family tartan as we celebrate the winter season.
It all begins with the Annual Meeting and “Official Business” with Cocktails and an Old Philadelphia Raw Bar of oysters & shrimp at 6 PM. Master Shucker Gordon Weldon ( affectionately known as the “Oyster Guy”) will be working his magic with fresh-from-the-sea delights. Did we mention top shelf scotches? Absolutely, accompanied by plenty of spirited conversation.
The evening will feature Dave MacGregor’s presentation of the Haggis with our traditional bagpiper parade. That’s just a prelude to the feast that will include, but not be limited to, Snapper Soup drizzled with with scotch (not sherry of course!), Double Cut Lamb Chops with Neeps & Taddies ( if you have to ask what N&T’s are, well…). All capped off with Tipsy Laird for dessert and the annual Tam O’Shanter reading.
Because the Acorn club needs a firm number by January 17th any cancellation after that date will incur a $75 charge for the luncheon. FREE would become a charge. To cancel simply return to the RSVP button on the website and “unclick” it where it says “cancel”. It’s easy and no calls or emails necessary!
Last year 46 gentlemen of the IVth Street Club enjoyed the evening – this year promises to be even more robust. We look forward to seeing you there!
As with ALL Acorn lunches & events this year, Van service will be offered from Sunnybrook and Church of the Redeemer, each departing at 5:00pm. You can sign up when you RSVP for the dinner by clicking RSVP above.
